10 Product Photography Tips That Don't Need a Studio

You don't need a lighting rig or a DSLR to get professional-looking product photos. You need consistent technique — and a good cleanup step at the end. Here's the short list that covers 90% of it.

Shooting

• Use window light. A large window with indirect daylight is the best free softbox there is. Avoid direct sun — it creates harsh shadows.
